D.O.P: Méntrida
Wine made with bunches of grapes from a 90-year-old Grenache vineyard on a hill with granitic soil. This peak has its vines exposed to the four cardinal points, getting sun exposure from all four directions, thus achieving the ideal levels of ripeness. Organic winegrowing.
100% Grenache.
Selection of bunches on the vine itself, harvesting and transport in small crates early in the morning.
Pre-fermentation cold maceration, traditional crushing during fermentation. Only token pressing is done, as it’s very light.
The wine is transferred to a barrel using a new 2,000-liter French oak foudre for 18 months, where malolatic fermentation takes place.

 

Tasting Notes

Bright, vivid ruby red color. On the nose, it has enormous complexity, with aromas of cherries, violets, gunpowder, smoked foods, plums, incense, raspberry, blackberry and wood, all assembled together with hints of minerals.

It changes with every swirl of the glass, always delighting. On the palate, it’s silky and very fresh, easy drinking, with pleasant, polished tannins. It caresses the mouth and leaves you with an intense and explosive memory as well as a subtle and elegant one. Long, velvety and full of freshness.

You’ll like…its freshness in the mouth and its persistence, so you can enjoy all its nuances for much longer.
